Federal Account Executive

Our Government Sales team is growing at a rapid pace; we’re seeking an Account Executive to join our team and become part of our success. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of sales/”hunting” experience at a hosting company or sales experience with SaaS, IaaS, Cloud computing, etc.
OVERVIEW
The Government Account Executive is responsible for hunting within the Federal marketplace and within Systems Integrators to market and sell Carpathia's service offerings. The ideal candidate will have experience searching for new leads and have connections/relationships that will result in revenue. Experience selling hosting, SaaS, IaaS or other cloud services required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Close new sales opportunities within the Federal channel
- Assist Technical Writer with RFP’s, RFQ’s
- Develop customized proposals that present creative solutions that successfully sell Carpathia’s suite of products
- Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets
- Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded
- Manage daily business through the CRM tool and provide feedback on prospects and opportunities
- Develop account profiles for all existing customers
- Independently establish and grow new or existing client base
- Communicate effectively with peers, superiors and other Carpathia Hosting personnel
- Identify, understand and solve any obstacles or objections within the sales process
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 7 years experience selling within the Federal space
- Proficient use of PC hardware and software, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and use of a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com, Sugar, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Proficient use of internet for communication and research
- Demonstrated success in applying consultative selling techniques to opportunities
- Proven and verifiable track record in exceeding sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills
- High energy and drive
- Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
- Knowledge and experience in Managed Hosting, Managed WAN Solutions, Managed Security, CDN, VoIP, Collocation, Professional Services
- Industry knowledge in most of the following verticals: Federal – DoD and Civilian Agencies, System Integrators
